Raut is a young member of the Boar Clan. Raut, Aki, and his friends confront Torak for stealing Aki's antlers. He encourages Torak to place down the antlers, but Aki is itching for a fight. Later, Aki and Raut track Torak near Lake Axehead, but Raut turns back. He, Thull, and other members of Boar Clan, Raven Clan, and Wolf Clan, confront Torak after the flood.

- Raut has shoulder-length brown hair with bangs, tusks on his necks, and a stiff hide mantle across his shoulder. He has scant hairs on his chin.[1]
