Naiginn was introduced in Viper's Daughter. He was apparently Renn's long lost brother. It soon turned out that he was a Tokoroth, yet a full grown one. It was also revealed that he was the son of the two Soul-Eaters, Seshru and Tenris, which means he is also Torak's cousin.
Appearance[]
Naiginn is said to be very handsome and tall, his eyes an 'unearthly' blue. In Skin Taker he appears to have multiple burns and scars from when Vipers Daughter took place, but hides them in Skin Taker.
Biography[]
In Viper's Daughter, Naiginn stages accidents that cause Renn to believe that she is subconsciously trying to hurt Torak and she heads off in search of a solution. Torak and Wolf follow her in pursuit, while she meets up with Naiginn, who secretly plans to have her free him from his masking spell that hides his demonic nature, so he could feed on the souls of the living. In the end, Renn manages to outwit the ice demon with the help of Torak and Wolf and Naiginn is defeated by a mammoth's spirit.
In Skin Taker, it is revealed that Naiginn survived his battle against Torak and he discovered that he could free his demon nature from his mortal body in order to feed on the souls of the living by feasting on their brains. He travels to the Forest and becomes the leader of a group of hunters known as the "Chosen Ones", who have abandoned their way of life after a meteorite called the Thunderstar devastated the Forest. Naiginn spreads rumors of Skin Takers, monstrous beings that feed on the souls of the living and orders his hunters to capture Torak and Renn. While Renn manages to escape with the help of a hunter, Torak is captured by the Chosen Ones and is introduced to Naiginn, who reveals that he made up the Skin Takers, so he could get revenge on Torak and Renn. However, Renn and Wolf help Torak escape by rounding the sacred horses and Naiginn pursues him. Just as Renn and Dark prepare to do the rite to bring back the First Tree, Naiginn attacks them in an attempt to stop them from doing so, but Torak, who spirit walked into a bear, stops him. Naiginn flees and the Chosen Ones eventually return to their clans after discovering that Naiginn had lied to them.
