Growler is a young male wolf cub and the cleverest of the litter. His siblings are are Snap and Digger. In Outcast, the Mountain pack settles on the Island of the Hidden People. Whitepaw and Wolf often watch over the cubs while the rest of the pack hunts. When a lynx kills Whitepaw, Torak protects the cubs. The pack later leaves the island when they sense the flood coming.
