Gaup is a member of Salmon Clan. After his daughter went missing, Gaup tracked her to the Deep Forest. Auroch Clan originally welcomed him, but they cut off his hand and accused him of stealing their own children. While fleeing, Gaup met Torak, Renn, and Fin-Kedinn, and he is convinced to take the injured Raven Clan Leader with him back to the Open Forest. His severed hand was later used by Auroch Clan on a curse stick and Wolf later ate it. Back at his camp, Gaup and his Leader were convinced to attack the Deep Forest clans when Fin-Kedinn convinced them otherise. His daughter was later found by Wolf and Darkfur, though she remained mute.
Appearance[]
- Gaup had an indistinct face with long, pale hair braided with small fish bones. He wore muddy fish skin parka and leggings lined with squirrel fur. He wore a band of salmon-skin around his neck. His clan-tattoo was a sinuous marking on his cheek. His left hand was cut off by Auroch Clan.[1]
